Dc and ac current sensors are required for automotive industry, drive control, control of smart grids, measuring power and energy and for many other applications. This session reviews existing electric current sensors and explain the principles of their new types using a pair or array of magnetic sensors such as Hall, AMR, or integrated microfluxgates. It also discusses the main parameters of different classes of current sensors including geometrical selectivity or crosstalk.
