Staff Application Engineer, RFID Product

Dan Merino is a Staff Application Engineer supporting for the RFID products portfolio at STMicroelectronics and has held this position since June of 2016.

Merino began his career in 1984 as a Test Technician at Navcom Defense Eelectronics working on Radar Altimeters, Military Communications and Threat simulators. From there he moved to Sierra Nevada Corporation as a Design Engineer where he worked on Ddrone Llanding systems and Hhigh- Ppower pPulse mModulators. In 1996, he moved into the designing products for consumer markets designing focusing on televisions and set top boxes at Panasonic as an R&D design engineer.  Merino switched into He began his Ffield Aapplications career in 2005 with roles supporting a myriad of products at large distributorsat Arrow Electronics, followed by Future Electronics supporting a myriad of products. In 2011, He joined ams as a Field Application Engineer supporting the entire portfolio, but specializing in the RF products, including RFID and came to ST in 2016.

Dan was born in Los Angeles CA in 1965 and graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
