Melanie Daniels is a Principal Engineer in Client Customer Engineering & Operations at Intel. She works closely with OEM customers to bring current and future imaging systems, computer vision and more recently, machine learning technologies, to successfully launch end to end solutions on OEM products. In the past two years, she has been the liaison to the Microsoft Windows Hello team (a biometric machine learning face authentication solution) and has driven ecosystem symposiums and keynotes with hundreds of industry attendees to drive successful cost and size reduction of biometric imaging solutions for OEM customers. Her current focus is to identify and launch new machine learning and computer vision solutions for CCG OEM customers. Prior to joining the CCEO imaging team, she worked as the customer technical lead for LTE modem integration onto Intel platforms and was the Intel customer lead for the Motorola RazrI phone. Prior to joining Intel, Melanie delivered multiple commercial, profitable HVM products as an Microwave and Radio Frequency Design Engineer and System Engineering manager to the military and cellular base station markets. She was an industry leader on the topic of power amplification for cellular base stations and gave industry trainings and IEEE MTTS technical talks on the topic. Melanie has a BSEE in High Frequency Systems and an MSEE in Digital Communications. Melanie holds 4 patents, plus one pending in the area of imaging biometrics with more than 15 citations. Melanie volunteers her time at STEM/educational activities at various non-profits, is a judge for the University of California, Davis (her alumni) at the Engineering Start Up Center. She loves to loves to hike and camp with her husband in the Northern California Sierras and visit her daughter who attends Montana State University in Bozeman.
